2009 Eco-Living and Home ‘Video’ Tour

It was a beautiful day to tour the island viewing some of Salt Spring’s eco-homes. The Eco-Living and Home Tour was incredibly well organized and managed, while caring home owners generously opened their doors to share and inspire. There were 8 homes on this years tour, and while we weren’t able to make it to all the venues, we did manage to capture some video of the homes and properties we were able to visit. Enjoy!

This doesn’t work for me, unfortunately. The first image shows up along with a right-pointing arrow that I click on, but before any video begins, the stop symbol appears and the video screen goes dark.
Meanwhile, the bottom bar shows “Transferring data from bitcast-avl.ordl.bitgravity.com” alternating with “Transferring date from bitcast.vimeo.com” while the time counter below the image that used to be there (the screen stays dark) is shaded grey and keeps leaping forward and drawing back. Maddening, actually. Is anyone else having trouble like this?
What are these eco friendly homes there? Are they cobb or solar with cisterns etc. How do we view these better as the video was choppy.Or is there another with on line map location? Is there someone who builds these for others or what? Thnks & agape.
