View From The Sky With Pilot Don Arney

Local Salt Spring Island inventor and businessman Don Arney takes to the sky on a regular basis as he drives himself to work in Delta, BC in his helicopter. I had the great luck last week to have a ride into the city with him for a business meeting. On the way back we picked up my friend Christopher Roy who also commutes to the city for work. We were home in 15 minutes! What a spectacular experience. Thanks Don! You can watch the video below. That was awesome! When I was a little kid, I always told my parents that I was never going to learn to drive, only fly and that I would fly a helicopter to work. My Dad used to take me to the local airport so I could watch planes take off, and sometimes we would talk to the pilots.

I finally did learn to drive, but not till age 28, and (unfortunately) never learned to fly. But I worked for the Govt. for about 10 years and got to fly to different cities every 3 weeks or so and could have lived in the air.

Someday, I really hope to get a ride in a Helicopter. :-)
